“A Year in the Gut” art show consists of 365 paintings of Townend Gut as seen from the dock and studio of Southport artist Rick Dickinson.  Each painting was completed on the appropriate date en plein air and framed by the month as a calendar.  In the spirit of full disclosure, paintings were not completed on one calendar year.  Several years were required to fill in all the dates as Rick and his wife Pandora travel some and Rick had a studio in Lawrence, Massachusetts which he used to frequent in addition to his Southport studio.  The show is about 365 paintings of the same subject, the same view, all the same size and yet all different, different times of day, different weather, different light effect.

Each set of monthly paintings is $2,000. Full set of 12 months in $12,000.
